The interview is the first time you will have face to face contact with your prospective employer. This is your chance to make a first impression. However once again I am not one to say go out there and impress them for the sake of making an impression. If you have done your homework and listen carefully you will get the answers right. Getting it right is far more important than trying to make an impression.

One of the fundamental questions you will be asked in a job interview is "why do you want to work for this company" Believe it or believe it not many people do not even think about this question. They just want to get a job and make money. Others will give an answer like" I desire a challenge"

However those who go a step further and define challenge and what it means will show the interviewer that you have thought this out. Have you ever asked somebody a question and they give you a detailed answer, this signifies that they have thought it out. They are not giving some drab answer.

Put yourself in the shoes of the person doing the interview. Imagine how many candidates they have interviewed in a day and how many pre-canned answers they get. I imagine at times they turn around to one another and say, "where did I hear that before?"
