There is offline resume etiquette that should be followed even though alot of job searching is done on the internet. Eventually, you will have to bring a copy of your resume to your interview, and when you do, you want it to be in the correct format without any errors for your employer to see. And this is what this article will touch on.

Job hunting nowadays is done primarily on the internet. The basic foundation of the internet is to be able to search and find information. With this came the term "search engine optimization" otherwise known as (SEO). Similarly, employers are looking to optimize their searches for new employees. The Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is used by most companies today to review resumes and identify the best candidates. In the same way that search engines use keywords and phrases on a particular site to describe what the site is about and rank them in accordance to the most relevant, these systems use the content in a resume to determine who the best fit for their search is. Disregarding how the system works would be unwise and probably leave you at the bottom of the list, frustrated and still searching for a job. Efficiency is a term used often today for a reason. By optimizing your resume, you"ll not only help make the process easier for employers, you"ll be dramatically increasing your chances of being hired at the same time. Thus I have coined the phrase resume search optimization (RSO) and provided some tips below:


Career Switch: Grab Job Satisfaction

Career switch is most recognized desire of many people. If you are a victim of such unkind status, you can switch to your dream career. If Economic crisis is holding you from doing so, you can initiate with part- time switching.

First of all you need to identify your career options. That is to find out the facts about your favorite work, hobbies, etc. according to your abilities. You can consult career consultant to explore career options.

Polish your skills before switching to that career. You have to study the market, expectations, scope for newcomers, payments, openings etc. As you are switching to different field, you should be perfect in your home work. So, read articles, search on net, meet people, know about industry career options and do anything under the sky to collect latest information about the field.

Expectations about the payments, responsibilities, nature of work may not match your expectations or needs but you have to tackle all those initially. Perhaps, time will prove your caliber but till then you have to be patient.

Donò€™t quit previous job till you get another one. Even, reserve that option till you get settled in new atmosphere. You can take leaves from or manage the official work side by side for few days.

Donò€™t restrict yourself to so called prestige points. You have to take risks to get success.

And once you get it, you will be the happiest person on the earth.

Plan your economy according to your recession so; it will save you from being economically frustrated fellow. You can cut your some unnecessary expenses, cost spent for entertainment etc.

Use full energy to switch on career. Give full attempt to prove your decision correct. Remember: ò€œgod helps those who help themselvesò€. So, just start with full force and you will get good opportunities to progress.

Measure your growth frequently. It will lead you to perfection. You should be in a position to evaluate your own performance. So, look towards your development.

Listen to your internal voice than what people say. It may be difficult for people to understand your quench. So, once you decide switching into your dream career, follow your inner advice. Be firm on your decision.
